Support
SpendCrew is made by one person. There is no support department and no ticket queue — you will be writing to the person who built it.
Get in touch
Email support@spendcrewapp.com about anything: a bug, a receipt it read wrongly, a feature you need, or a question about your data.
If a receipt was read wrongly, say which shop and roughly when you scanned it. That is enough to find it. Please don’t send the photo unless asked — it is already stored, and email is a worse place for it.
Common questions
A line item came out wrong. What do I do?
Tap the line and change it. Anything you set by hand is marked You set this and will not be overwritten by the app’s suggestions. Reading crumpled thermal paper is imperfect for every product that does it — ours included — so correcting one is designed to take a single tap.
Can I split one receipt across several jobs?
Yes, and it is the reason the app exists. Each line goes to its own job, Overhead, or Unassigned. Sales tax and any whole-basket discount are then split across those lines, so a job carries the tax it actually incurred.
What is Overhead for?
Things you bought that do not belong to one job — blades, screws, shop consumables. There is one Overhead bucket for the business, not one per job. You can open it and see everything in it.
What is Unassigned?
A holding place for anything the app could not confidently place, so it is never guessed onto the wrong job. It is visible from the home screen and nothing stays there unless you leave it there.
I already confirmed a receipt and it was wrong.
Open it and reopen it. Change what you need and confirm again. Job totals are recalculated from scratch each time rather than added up as you go, so nothing is ever counted twice.
It warned me about a duplicate, but it isn't one.
Confirm anyway. The warning never blocks you — it is raised when the shop, date and total all match another receipt, which is usually a duplicate and occasionally two genuine trips.
It says my tax rate isn't real.
Something on the receipt was probably not taxed — a gift card, a deposit, a core charge, or food. If the app can work out which line, it offers a button to mark it. That stops tax being charged to a job that never incurred it.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Settings → Export CSV gives you every cost as a spreadsheet, with the date, shop, item, job, amount, discount and tax in separate columns. Your bookkeeper can open it in Excel or import it into most accounting software.
Does it do labour, invoicing, or time tracking?
No. It tracks what you spend on materials and what your subcontractors and crew cost, if you enter those. It does not do payroll, invoicing, scheduling, client portals or GPS, and there is no plan to. It is meant to sit alongside whatever you already use rather than replace it.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account. You will be asked to type DELETE. It removes your business, jobs, customers, receipts, every receipt photograph and everything derived from them, immediately and permanently. Export first if you want a record — nothing is kept for you to recover.
Something is broken
Email support@spendcrewapp.com with what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps more than a description. If the app will not open at all, say which phone you have and whether it was installed from the App Store or given to you as a test build.
Your data
What is collected, where it goes, how long it is kept, and how to remove it is set out in the privacy policy. The short version: receipt photographs are sent to OpenAI to be read, your job and customer names are sent so it can suggest where each item belongs, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
